ABOUT KELLY MADDERN

 

Kelly Maddern, owner/author/photographer, began working on the Badger State of Mind idea back in 2009. As a graphic designer, she already had the skills needed to produce a book, cover to cover. That, along with her passion for writing, photography and getting lost on Wisconsin back-roads, brought together the idea for the first book. Kelly wanted to focus on her finds off the beaten path and the small businesses she encountered along the way. Her first book, Badger State of Mind, was published on December 4, 2012. 

 

Kelly is currently on her second book under the Badger State of Mind brand. The book will focus on Waukesha County much in the same way the original book focused on small businesses and hidden gems of all of Wisconsin.
